iPad, iPhone, MAC OS, by Albel.

International Business Intelligence (BI) vendor, Yellowfin, has capitalized on the unprecedented iPad adoption rate, releasing its highly anticipated iPad application that gives users full access to its easy-to-use BI solution on the move.

BI software analyzes and reports on a company’s data assets, giving businesses across all industries better insight into their operating environment, to improve operational efficiencies and decision-making ability.

“Yellowfin’ s iPad application improves corporate mobility, information sharing and the capacity to respond to emerging issues with agility,” said Yellowfin Senior Software Engineer, Steve Joynt.

“You can access Yellowfin’s full range of world-class data reporting and analysis features whenever and wherever you need to.”

Yellowfin’s application release has been well-timed, taking advantage of a wave of corporate support for the iPad – Apple’s answer to the tablet computer.

“We knew it was important to get this product to market quickly,” said Joynt.

“And so far, we’ve received very high, very pleasing levels of interest in our iPad application and overall Mobile Business Intelligence solution as a result.”

The iPad has made a remarkable impact on information sharing and governance in the corporate world.  Bernstein Research recently announced that iPad sales have dwarfed initial iPhone and even DVD sales.

“The iPad is now a must-have corporate device, and Yellowfin is assisting businesses transition their reporting and analytics capabilities to this new platform,” said Joynt.

“With Yellowfin’s 100 percent Web-based Mobile BI solution and patented data security system, we’re making it easy for corporations of all types to access their data on-the-go.”

As indicated by Bernstein Research, over three million iPads were sold within the first 80 days of release, and one million iPhones over a similar period.  By comparison, 350,000 DVD players were sold in 1997 – the first year of their release.
