  10. I know this post is old. But I have a very very basic question.

i know the protocol for entering the id = root and pw = alpine (before I changed it and it did not take)

But your example where you enter mobile & the password and it comes up

Where is that located. My passlock code is off in settings, and I don’t know of any other pw’s.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Nevermind…i fixed it….useing iCommander, too…..but i also found out what u was meaning, and that is much simpler.
iFile is designed to be a file browser and manipulator, but it can also be used for limited SSh using its web server.
iCommander is much more minimalistic and easier to use, but has more commanding features….however, after loading the master password doc to the iPod, iFile can be used instantly, saveing a lot of time and hassle…..

  16. You could also simply edit the file directly on the iPhone using iFile. Just delete the hash.

  22. hey man, love the guide, but i cant use it.. i have no access or way of getting icommander… i tried adding the link into cydia only to get an error message saying the repository isnt compatible, fails, doesnt exist, or something like that… is it possible you can upload a direct dl link to mega upload or rapidshare in an ipa format? this is the only thing holding me back from reseting my root pw. i cant get the icommander to change the permissions to the master.passwd file, thanks in advance!
