One of the features on the iPhone is the iPod application that holds your music and media library. When you sync your iPhone through iTunes on your computer, adding a CD from your music collection is a simple process. The iPhone folder in your iTunes manages all of the apps, ringtones, photos, music and other media stored on your iPhone.
1. Load the CD you want into your computer and add it to your iTunes library. When you load the CD, iTunes should ask by default if you a want to add it to the library. If it doesn’t, go to the File tab and select “Add to Library.”
2. Create a playlist for your iPhone by selecting “New Playlist” from the File tab.
3. Go to the CD album that you added to your music library. Click on the album cover and drag it to the playlist you just created. Drop it in the playlist when the title is highlighted. This means that the album is now in the playlist.
4. Connect your iPhone to your computer with the USB connection cable that came with your phone. A sync will automatically start. The iPhone folder screen on your iTunes will appear.
5. Select the “Music” tab on the folder screen. Make sure that the box beside the “Selected Playlists, Artists and Genres” is checked. Below this is a box with the list of playlists and genres. Select the ones you want to add to your iPhone and click “Update.”

* Organize your iPhone music into playlists rather than adding your entire music library to save space on your phone. If you have enough space on your iPhone to add your entire library, add your audio CD to your music library and click on “Add Entire Music Library” in the sync folder.
