Social Networking Experience on iPhone

iPhone, by Albel.

Apple has featured a new application called Facebook for iPhone. Now you can access your Facebook account quickly and easily from your Apple phone, thanks to Facebook for iPhone.

Facebook for iPhone makes it easy to stay connected and share information with Facebook friends. For example, with this application, a person may take photos with his iPhone’s camera, and then upload these photos instantly to their Mobile Uploads album on Facebook.

For the Facebook addicts, who can’t bear to be without it while you’re away from their computers, Facebook for iPhone is a very handy solution for them? Adding comments and mood states can all be done easily through Facebook for iPhone. Facebook for iPhone also makes it easy to quickly upload photos taken on your iPhone camera to your Facebook account. Using this application, checking your friends’ latest photos and status updates is very easy. Browsing photo galleries using the application is also very easy, and you can simply swipe through albums with your finger. You can also look up a phone number, or upload your own mobile photos to Facebook while on the go.

The application provides four different views of your essential data.

1).Your own profile.

2).Your friends.

3).Recent changes in friends’ status.

4).Recently received messages.

Facebook for iPhone also brings one important new feature to the iPhone – Facebook Chat. Using the iPhone, you can also start a conversation with Facebook friends. Wherever you are, you’ll be able to see which of your Facebook friends are online and chat with them for free.

This application is much faster than the Facebook iPhone website, and gives more reliable access to Friends, Photos and Inbox of a Facebook account. Facebook for iPhone works with the original iPhone and also with iPod Touch and iPhone 3G.

Unfortunately, Facebook for iPhone doesn’t give you access to the whole of the service. However, what you do get is a very quick facility for viewing and editing the most important areas of the service. It’s certainly a lot more functional than Facebook for Android. It now features a location service called Places, allowing you to ‘check in’ and share where you are with your friends.

Pros:

Send photos to Facebook from your iPhone

Supports chat and messaging

Cons:

Not all Facebook features included

The competitors:

Although we are only discussing the Facebook for iPhone application, be sure to check out the other social networks and their alliance with Apple. MySpace Mobile is just another application to rival Facebook. If Facebook’s got its own iPhone application, then so has MySpace. This application lets you send messages, browse your network of friends, upload and share photos from your iPhone, post comments on friends’ profiles, and photos, stay up to date with bulletins, and search to find new friends.

In near future, we would be able to clearly identify that which application is better than the other in providing a superior user experience, and better still, the superior social networking experience.
