Question 1: Toddler put password on ipod! how to reset!
Hey all,
The title says it all. My toddler has put a password on my video ipod. How do I reset the password or the ipod?
Thanks.
Question 2: I forgot the password to my iPod, is there anyway to reset it?
Answer 1:

try holding the “menu” button and the “Play/pause” button at the same time for about 10 seconds.
Answer 2:
Plug in your iPod
Go to “My Computer”
Go to your iPod’s drive (F for me)
Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren’t sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, and check Show)
After that click iPod_Control
Click the folder called “Device”
And then change it from _locked, to _unlocked
Answer 3:
You can unlock it by simply connecting it to the computer that it was originally loaded from. iTunes will unlock the iPod for you, but it will not reset iPod password. Of course, as long as you don’t need to lock it again, that should be okay. The iPod will not lock automatically — it only does so if you specifically select the “lock screen” option.
There are several hacks and workarounds out there that will supposedly let you clear out the password by editing files in the iPod’s control directories through disk mode access, but I have never been able to consistently reproduce these, particularly on more recent firmware versions.
The only sure-fire way to actually remove the password entirely is to perform a “restore” on your iPod, which will erase everything on it, basically returning it to factory settings. If you’re using automatic sync, however, it should be almost trivial to reload it from iTunes, although it will take a bit of time.
