When you start the app you are brought to a screen with a navigation bar at the top and thumbnails of drawings pinned on a corkboard background. You have preloaded sketches that can serve as a user’s guide explaining every option of the Sketches app user interface. You can choose from the 24 colors and adjust the brush size. You can use shapes from the six categories of shapes, set the background from a picture taken with the iPhone’s camera or from the image gallery, you can even use a solid color, image from the web or a map with the location of the place where you are drawing the picture. NetSketch

NetSketchThe Netsketch app offers one of the best and most innovative features. It’s the Netsketch sharing feature that enables another iPhone or iPad user to join on the sketch using the wireless connection. You can view the making of the sketch and even draw together with the original user. This feature is very useful when two or more people share an idea and this app enables fast interaction and information exchange. It can also be very fun. This iPhone drawing app is based on the popular iDoodle web app for iPhone and iPod touch. It has two versions, the iDoodle2 lite which is a free version and the full iDoodle2 version that you can buy for $3. The full version offers features like: option to use a photo as a background, a text tool, the ability to save work and continue later, eyedropper tool, adjustable pen softness and gradients. The user interface is very intuitive and easy to use. All of the controls are well positioned for easy access. Overall this is a great app and I also like the option to download a free version. Brushes is another great iPhone drawing app. The app starts with thumbnails of all of your previous drawings. There is also a button to import an image from the iPod Touch or iPhone’s photo gallery. Tapping on an existing drawing opens it and buttons for editing, saving or duplicating are shown. There are three different brush textures, different sizes and an undo/redo button. There is also an eyedropper button for selection of color. Overall, it has a great collection of options and buttons that are hidden when the user is drawing.
