Apple Inc. has a remarkable share lift in the second season, according to the statistics from PCWatch.com report. PCWatch compared IDC’s statistics on Mac’s sales to dealers in its each market segment, and found out:
Mac’s sales to dealers in June were 35%, greatly above its 20.9% market growth.
Mac’s sales in local markets were increased by 31.4%, succeeding the 25.2% average market growth.
Mac’s sales to enterprises have a 49.8% growth, three-times higher than 12.1% the market gross growth rate.
Mac’s sales to governments are tripled, 16 times of the market gross growth rate 12.1%.
The analysis towards sales to concrete enterprises revealed that Apple’s sales to governments have sharpest rise (refer to the chart below).

PCWatch also found out that Mac is keeping an increasing sale to European markets. Apple’s sales volume and market share in the second season is about twice as that in the first season: sales volume rise from 3.4% (the first season) to 7% (the second season); and market share grow by over 200%, from 4.6% to 15.4%.
After analysis, PCWatch hold that iPhone is the key factor that pushes Mac’s sales in European markets. Smartphone has long had higher market share in European districts than in America, since smart phone is marketed via multiple cable operators. In addition, there is no doubt that iPhone enjoys more reputation and customer’s favor than iPod. iPhone has squeezed Microsoft’s devices out of the market, being a strongest competitor in the mobile market
“We’ve been tracking iPhone usage since its launch. Total web browsing on the iPhone has topped the web browsing on all Windows Mobile devices combined, as this report shows. This report is a listing of the top operating system versions in use. It is not a measure of units sold, but the share of users browsing the internet with the devices. The iPhone has had a dramatic rise in usage share in its short time on the market is this due to a better user interface? Larger screen?”
